Madeline directed the line-wide Heritage Interpretation Strategy for the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport corridor, shaping a Country-led interpretive vision for the new transport line from St Marys to the emerging Bradfield City Centre. The project integrated Aboriginal cultural knowledge, history, archaeology, and contemporary narratives into a cohesive framework that positions Country at the centre of the user experience.

Delivered within a broader Connecting with Country collaboration led by GHD and Zion Engagement and Planning, Madeline worked to translate cultural knowledge and community priorities into a clear, implementable interpretation strategy.

A major component of the project was developing a Country-led thematic framework that reflects the cultural landscape of Western Sydney, linking enduring Aboriginal knowledge systems with subsequent layers of history, including defence, industry, and urban growth. This involved synthesising a large and complex body of cultural, historical, and archaeological information to create a narrative structure capable of guiding interpretation across the entire corridor.
